Judy Nakari
My work is an exploration of the way light and shadow work together to describe form. Design, color, value, edges ~ these considerations are important factors in each piece whether studio or plein-air, whether places or people.
Uniquely challenging is painting “en plein air”, which is the French way of saying “outdoors”, in the wind and rain and heat, etc!
I want my viewers to experience the joy of “being there”. If I can elicit a response of recognition, of a place or especially of an emotion, I’m happy that I’ve successfully communicated my own feelings.
