Artist Jennifer Yoswa presents "Glen" to,  well, Glen.

Mark,

I love my new Cynthia Reid painting.  I grew up in eastern Colorado in Fort Morgan, but had an uncle who lives on Independence Mountain outside Evergreen, and I spent childhood summer vacations visiting cousins there in the 1950-60's.  We'd often hike down the mountain into Evergreen to buy a treat, then hike back up the mountain to his place, so I have fond memories of Evergreen.  On the occasion of attending my 92 year old father's funeral in Fort Morgan a couple years ago, I drove to downtown Evergreen on a nostalgia trip while on my way to the Denver airport, and that's when I found your gallery and my original Weathered Barns painting.  It just so happens that my uncle in Evergreen is Donald Reid, so the name Reid caught my attention and I now have 3 "Reid" paintings.

What's the status of you Cynthia Reid bird's nest paintings?

Dr. R Cooper

Brian & Heather Pregger of Fort Worth Texas sent us this photo of Tim Flynn's "Devour"

with this lovely note:

"Devour" arrived and has been installed where we can sit out and contemplate it

whilst we take our ease beneath the spreading magnolia tree.

I have attached a couple of photos which show it in its new home.

We hope you have a good holiday season and a great New Year.

Thanks again for having a gallery carrying such wonderful pieces.

We will be back.

Brian

Thanks Brian & Heather!

We were also very pleased with the service that we received from Mark.

We were very comfortable working with him.

Now Official: Stoneheart Gallery Has Great Taste!

Sunday, June 1, 2008

Stoneheart Gallery

To our eye, Owner mark Anthony King has great taste. Stop in his gallery in any given month and you'll find a compelling, vibrant mix of works by artists with Colorado roots. Among the treasures displayed to dazzling effect during a recent visit were eye popping poppies by painter Cynthia Reid and irresistible long-legged bronzes by Lorri Acott Fowler.

Don't Miss: King is likely to have an artist on hand for Evergreen's monthly Last Friday Gallery Walk (5-8 p.m.), and if you're really lucky, you'll find wine and a tray of smoked shad at the front counter. Like we said, good taste.

at the Parks Family home in Breckenridge.

This year we took Kimberly MacArthur Graham with us to install her "Volcano" series.

We had a great time, Thanks Steve & Sue  (and Kelsey too)!!

Bob & Lisa enjoy Greg Wasil's style in their Conifer home.

Please use the attached photos for your testimonial page.

We are very happy with both pieces and appreciate your personal interest.

Your gallery is very comfortable and friendly with refreshingly reasonably priced art.

We will definitely be stopping back in the future to see what other local artists you have discovered.

Thanks again.

Bob & Lisa

Hi Mark,

I apologize that it has taken me so long to write.  My husband and I continue to fall in love with Jennifer's painting (Push) we purchased a few weeks ago.  I thought you and Jennifer might like to see where we have placed it in our home.  It's the center of attraction, so to speak, in our great room.  I've attached a picture.

As I mentioned while in the gallery, I had a dream that I was watching a woman standing on the edge of a cliff and being held in place by the wind pushing against her.  I recall thinking (in the dream), "wow, how is she not falling?  Something must be holding her up.  I wonder if I would have the nerve to push myself to that edge."  And, a few weeks later I'm standing in your gallery -- turn around -- and see you hanging "Push" on the wall.  Instant recognition.

We had a party last weekend and many guests were fascinated by the painting and several asked if I had it painted because they thought it WAS me!

So, the painting is a constant reminder to myself that I do, in fact, have the nerve to push myself to the edge.

Anyway, I know that it's hard for an artist to part with a creation but I hope this note provides you some comfort.  We will take great care of the painting and it already has a special place in my heart.

Thank you for what you do.

Bobbi

Hi Mark! Thanks for the email and all the pictures!

We really are enjoying the art and we certainly enjoyed the buying experience with you!

Also, thanks for forwarding on some more ideas.

...keep them coming.

I missed your show on the 31st as I've been in and out of town

but would enjoy attending and meeting Christian on another occasion.

Thanks again

More Kind Regards

...then there's the painting. . .

It belongs with me.  I am absolutely mesmerized by that work of art.

I enjoy watching it change in the different types of light.

It looks particularly splendid in the light of a full moon.

It shimmers and practically glows in the dark.

I watch the painting a lot, seeking it's mysteries and marveling in the fact that I found it,

met the artist, and was able to buy it.

My daughter is as wowed as I am.

She has decided to start painting again and I am just thrilled.

Thanks again for asking about the painting.

I'm not surprised that so many other people wanted it.  I feel very lucky.

Toni M.

RE: "Adrift" - Christian Dore

Hi Mark

Thanks for your call yesterday, sorry I missed it (digging in the yard..sigh!).

The pictures arrived safe and sound exactly when you expected them to.

I had intended to contact you and let you know but totally forgot about it.

For that I apologize but all is well and I really appreciated you following up with me.

The picture is stunning and looks absolutely wonderful

in exactly the spot I had in mind in the living room.

Thank you so much for also sending me the information on Marianne herself.

It was a joy to spend some time in your gallery

and thank you so much for all your help and assistance in getting such an inspiring work into this house.

I wish you and your gallery good fortune and thank you again.

Kate

RE: "When the Angels Came to Earth" - Marianne Cenko

Mark:
The box arrived today and my neighbors had it in their garage for me.

The packing was great and it arrived in perfect condition. I'm saving the box for future transport.

I did find a home for Approaching Storm on my living room fireplace mantel.

Two of my glass vases on the mantel picked up some of the same colors.

I loved the unframed print as well. First time I've bought art on line but the colors

 are beautiful and intense.
It was a pleasure to discover your wonderful gallery.

Hope to make it back one of these days.

Cathy

RE: "Approaching Storm, Dominica" & "Two-Day-Old Crescent Moon" - Laura Guese

Dear Mark,

I just wanted to thank you for all you have done to make Paint Sculpt Shoot Evergreen a success.

The CD you produced is wonderful! Also, I was so glad that you participated in the auction.

I have really enjoyed getting to know you. Look forward to seeing you soon!

Fondly,

Kimberly Moore

Mark,

We bought one of your pieces yesterday - "Kiss of Light".

On the entire way home, we talked about how we loved your work

and how we kept going back and forth between our two favorites.

The one we "left" was the one that was on display yesterday,

with the white daisies and grass blades.

It's hard to explain, but I feel like that picture was 'abandoned' by us,

because we just feel like we 'need' to have it.

We are not art people, but we know when to trust our hearts and eyes. Thanks!

Nancy

Mark-

Thank you for holding "Asters of Three" for me.

I'm looking forward to when I can get there to pick it up.

Your work is heartful. You have a blue series which the colors are amazing,

but my husband told me no more blue.

I wish you continued success.

Nancy

RE: "Kiss of Light" & "Asters of Three" - Mark Anthony King

Hi Mark-

Thank you for sending the pictures...
{edited to preserve a birthday surprise}

I must tell you.  I went into 2 other art/picture galleries in Evergreen
before I entered your store.  And you were
the only person who offered to help and assist me.
(beyond what they had for sale in store)
As a consumer, it meant a great deal to me.
So Thank You Very Much.

Sincerely,
Michelle
