Born in NYC and following a very interesting, adventurous, yet mildly delinquent childhood....Kevin was a fine arts photography major throughout college. He entered into photojournalism as a staff photographer for the Arizona Republic in 1972. During his 10 years at the Republic, he especially enjoyed exploring the small towns and back country throughout the great state of Arizona and the desert southwest. He met his soul mate Pam (eventually, to become his wife) in Phoenix. An "across the street neighbor".... He would carefully observe her, (with the use of high-powered binoculars) as she would carefully wash her white Volvo... She eventually stopped by for a Drink! Ah, but did she ever have a twinkle deep in her eye's... More on this later......... In 1982, he started his own freelance photography business, On the Road USA, Photographic Productions. This new company took them on an extended five year tour throughout the United States. Having greater creative "latitude" than he did in the newspaper business, he was able to better pursue his interests in photography as an art medium. In 1986, he threw away his Nikons in exchange for 100 lbs. of gear.... Armed with a video camera and 2-channels of audio he decided to go into the zany world of television news. This Emmy award winning photographer has traveled the planet having unbelievable adventures while on assignment for various TV news affiliations including NBC, UPN, CBS and FOX. His forte, features, documentaries and special projects, has won him many prestigious local and national awards. The advent of digital photographic technology has opened yet another door for him. Currently, Kevin lives in the mountains outside of Denver, Colorado. He is a News Operations Manager at a Denver television station. One of his main responsibilities is heading up the news photography and editing staffs. Kevin is responsible for the daily creative "look and feel" of the staff's final product. He helps satisfy his videographic and creative needs by living vicariously through his staff of award winning photographers and editors. He’s now able to spend the rest of his time pursuing creative goals with his first love, digital still photography.... ------------------------------------------------------------------ All images on this website are copyright the artist unauthorized use prohibited

"As an artist using photography as my medium, I've found great excitement not only stems from capturing brief glimpses and moments in life, but especially having the ability to illustrate multi-dimensional visions.... That's truly excitement for me!" Kevin Scofield
