"Adrift in Time" by Gary Burditt
The crown jewel of master artisan Gary Burditt, "Adrift in Time"
is a writing desk where dreams are born.
A truly unique design capable of inspiring anyone who is fortunate enough
to take a seat in front of this astonishing creation.
The tables base consists of 12 sections of Juniper branches intricately entwined
and softly polished to beautify the natural splendor of the wood’s grain.
The individual leaves adorning the top of the desk
were painstakingly hand carved from solid Walnut.
The tempered glass top is counter levered
so that no weight is distributed to the Juniper branches
Brass touch dimmer plates located under the corner leaves
control the three-way bulbs creating the perfect ambiance for any mood.
The lamp's shade is the creation of Denver artist Bonnie Ferrill Roman.
It is made of branches, hand-made paper, beeswax and pigments.
"Adrift in Time" is one of those pieces that MUST be seen
to be appreciated.
It is simply not possible to capture it's majesty in an image.

"Storm" by Christian Dore
This painting captures the overwhelming experience of a storm rolling in. The scale of the people and the trees is significant to the power and scale of the storm. Look closely and you can see patches of green within the painting. If you look at a storm in real life you will see these colors embedded within the dense clouds. Notice the figure holding an umbrella; this painting is all about being prepared. Preparation for Life!
However big the storm/event if you’re prepared you will weather it.

"Pioneer" by Kevin Scofield
This image of a Native American doll through a storefront window taken in the Pioneer Square District of Seattle is a strong message about the position of ancient cultures in today’s “market place”. The figure’s vague & distorted features craft a feeling of loss & confusion. The reflection of the windows in the building across the street, the figure’s contemporary view, mirrors modern society’s perception of reaching for the heavens. He seems to be at odds with modern man yet, completely unaware that he too is “for sale”. This message serves as a reminder that we could all benefit from directing our focus inward instead of being judgmental of those around us.
As you read through Kevin's bio, you'll note that he is "truly intrigued when it comes to capturing images from multi-dimensional levels..." Pioneer with it's marriage of reflections off the glass & of the past, windows in time, history & future, is a prime example of this artist's ability to convey his message in a subtle, yet intense manner.
