Born in Houston, Texas, Beverly has used the time she has spent living in the east, Austin, Tx, Santa Fe and Colorado to explore differing styles of Art. She has studied with such masters as Quang Ho, David Lefffel, Joshua Fallik, Kevin Weckbach Sherri Mc Graw and numerous other noted artists to pursue her love of oils, watercolors and sketching. Beverly instills in her paintings a feeling of beauty, elegance and the colorful pleasure of life. She is deeply inspired by the "Old Masters" and has pursued training in the classical, realist tradition. Great care is taken to prepare and tint each canvas. A mixture of paint and medium must be blended daily before the painting can begin. Working from an umber under-painting, Beverly uses a concept of chiaroscuro, the high-contrast light-against-dark. Beverly expresses her own unique story in her paintings of wildlife, portraits, and still lifes. While many of these works are in oil, she also creates in conte and watercolor. Clients often commissioned her to do portraits of people or their pets. Her work may be seen at the following galleries: Stoneheart Gallery, Evergreen, CO Lagerquist Gallery, Atlanta, GA A Successful Interior Design with her own company for over 20 years, Beverly now pursues her life long passion for creating fine art. She is a member of Oil Painters of America and Evergreen Art Association. Beverly lives in Evergreen with her husband, house rabbits and dog.

"I enjoy using the old world techniques and paint preparations popular in the time of the Rembrandt. Light and shadow play an integral part in my work. The light leads the viewer around and into the piece while the shadows invite the viewer to add their thoughts and feelings. Together, artist and viewer have made the story complete.
